Meet Our Founder

Zhaohua Chen

is the founder and developer of Encyflict, a two-pronged initiative consisting of an interactive map displaying the monetary and humanitarian costs of global conflicts and coordination with organizations on the ground in active war zones.

Disillusioned with inaction on crises, she seeks to illuminate patterns in and causes of conflicts to enable progress towards permanent peace.

She has spoken at the international UNESCO LearningPlanet Festival, engaging students and activists from over 190 countries, been a delegate at the 2025 UN General Assembly and 2026 ECOSOC Youth Forum, and published international award-winning analysis on conflicts in the Middle East.
